CANNES: Disney’s UTV Readies Indian ‘Great Expectations’

Disney’s Indian production unit UTV Motion Pictures has green-lighted a Hindi-language adaptation of Charles Dickens classic novel “Great Expectations.”
The picture, “Fitoor” will star A-listers Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor alongside veteran actress Rekha.
The picture, billed as “a passionate love saga of a young artist and a beautiful heart breaker,” shoots from August in Delhi and the Kashmir region.
“Kai Po Che” director Abhishek Kapoor will direct.
The film is scripted by Supratik Sen and Kapoor, and is produced by UTV Motion Pictures in association with Guy in the Sky Productions.
